Buxar. Two teachers at a government middle school in Dumraon block of the district have faced serious allegations of sexually exploiting and raping girl students at the school. It is alleged that objectionable videos of the students were made, circulated on social media, and that they were also threatened and blackmailed through audio messages.

After villagers and parents complained about the matter, the Education Department took action and suspended both teachers. A detailed inquiry is also being conducted at the departmental level.

The matter is said to be related to Middle School Nathuni Ahir Ka Dera, located in Ariyanv panchayat under the Krishnabrahm police station area.

Case escalated after videos emerged

According to the complaint, the matter reached villagers and parents after some objectionable videos involving girl students emerged. Subsequently, a complaint was submitted to the Education Department making serious allegations against two teachers at the school.

The allegations include molesting and sexually exploiting girl students, making objectionable videos, circulating them on social media and threatening them through audio messages.

However, all these allegations will be finally confirmed only after the police and departmental inquiries are completed.

Action after preliminary inquiry by Education Department

According to District Education Officer Indrajeet Kumar Karn, the Education Department’s preliminary inquiry found serious the allegations related to the circulation of objectionable videos and their impact on the school environment.

Following this, assistant teacher Virendra Prasad and teacher Arvind Kumar, posted at the school, were suspended.

A separate departmental inquiry is also being conducted against both teachers.

Allegation of taking minor girl student to hotel too

Another serious allegation has been made in the complaint. It is claimed that one teacher lured a minor girl student and took her to a hotel room, where he raped her.

This allegation has not yet been independently confirmed. The actual status of the matter will become clear only on the basis of the police inquiry, the statement of the victim’s side and the available evidence.

The identities of the girl students and any personal information related to them should not be made public, keeping their safety and privacy in mind.

Villagers and parents had filed complaint

Villagers and parents had complained to the Education Department against both teachers posted at the school.

The complaint alleged molestation of girl students, making objectionable videos, circulating them on social media and threatening them.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Education Department took cognisance of the complaint and began a review at the district level.

Application reached District Education Department on 31 August

According to information, an application submitted by villagers on 31 August 2026 was sent to the District Education Department through the Block Development Officer of Dumraon.

The matter was subsequently reviewed at the district level.

After serious facts emerged prima facie, action was taken to suspend both teachers.

Suspension orders issued on 2 September

Separate office orders concerning both teachers were issued on 2 September 2026.

During the suspension period, Virendra Prasad’s headquarters has been fixed at the Block Resource Centre, Rajpur.

Arvind Kumar’s headquarters has been fixed at the Block Resource Centre, Chakki.

Evidence to be examined in departmental inquiry

The Education Department is now preparing to frame charges against both teachers and move forward with the departmental inquiry process.

For this, a conducting officer and a presenting officer will be appointed.

During the inquiry, the allegations made in the complaint, the available videos and other evidence, statements of the parties concerned, and departmental records will be examined.

Further action will be decided on the basis of the inquiry report. If the allegations are proved, strict departmental action, including dismissal from service, may be possible.

Police action will also follow

Since the matter involves criminal allegations, the process for action at the police level is also moving forward.

After an FIR is registered, the police will investigate on the basis of statements from the victim’s side, available digital evidence and other facts.

Only after the police inquiry will it become clear which of the allegations made in the complaint are established by the evidence.

Anger in the area

There is anger among local parents and villagers after the matter came to light.

People say that the matter related to the safety of girl students studying at the school should be investigated impartially and swiftly. They also said that strict action should be taken against those responsible if the allegations are proved.
